# Product Rank

> Product Rank shows how the top AI models rank products and brands. Enter a category and Product Rank asks each major AI model (OpenAI, Anthropic, Perplexity, and Gemini) to rank the top 10 products in that category, then aggregates the results into a single ranking — with the citations the models used along the way.

## How it works

- For each category, Product Rank queries the API of each provider's current default chat model and asks it to rank the top 10 products.
- Results are aggregated across providers: products are first sorted by how many providers returned them, then by the average of their rankings (each provider weighted equally).
- When models search the web to answer, the citations they use are shown in aggregate at the top of each result.
- Rankings are run once and can be re-synced upon request.

- Topic pages (`https://productrank.ai/topic/<slug>`): The aggregated ranking of the top products for a given category/topic across AI models, including per-model rankings and citations.
- Product pages (`https://productrank.ai/product/<slug>`): How a specific product or brand ranks across different AI models and topics.
